Treasure Hunting, Coffee, and Creating

A Super Chill Saturday: Vintage Bits, Coffee, and Making Hat‑Band Stuff

Saturday was a really easy, chilled‑out day. I spent the morning mooching around looking for vintage jewellery to pull apart for future projects, and squeezed in a coffee with a friend while I was out. No rush, no plan — just a nice wander, a chat, and a few good finds.

I popped into a few local shops and picked up some great little bits — old brooches, pendants, random bits of chain, all the fun stuff that’s perfect for turning into hat‑band embellishments. I also had coffee with a friend, we had a good catch‑up and carried on the treasure hunt together. Honestly, it was just a really nice way to start the day.

Warm Room, Crafting Mode On

Once I got home, I stayed in the warm and spread everything out and spent the afternoon putting together a bunch of new hat‑band embellishments. Some came together quickly, others needed a bit of fiddling around, but the vintage jewellery pieces worked really well. They add such a cool bit of character.

A Pretty Good Saturday

By the end of the day, I had a nice little batch of new embellishments ready to go. Between the vintage shopping, the coffee, and the cosy afternoon of making, it felt like a really good Saturday — productive, but still super relaxed.
